As a Clinical Liaison, under the direction of the Executive Director, you will be responsible for assisting referral sources in identifying patients with care needs that match the services provided by hospice. S/he is responsible for applying the rules and regulations of state and federal regulatory agencies and other certified agencies.

Knowledge and Skills

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor s degree and experience in healthcare marketing preferred. Hospital and/or long-term care clinical experience highly preferred. Two to three years experience required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
(A) Has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (preferred); or
(B) Has a baccalaureate degree in social work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work
Education; or a baccalaureate degree in psychology, sociology, or other field related to social work; and has 1 year of social work experience in a healthcare setting and is supervised by an MSW; or
(C) Has a baccalaureate degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, is employed by the Hospice Compassus before December 2, 2008, and is not required to be supervised by an MSW.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Must be able to travel.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
A valid driver s license and auto liability insurance. See Education and/or Experience for clinical requirements.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy.
